I really liked the Quilt Connection, Etc., in Rapid City, SD. The staff was great (not snooty but fun and helpful but not in-your-face all the time), the fabrics gorgeous (just absolutely, amazingly so), the quilts displayed in the outside window (like the one shown above) and throughout the store, were mind boggling in their beauty.
I could have done a lot of damage in there - to my wallet. Instead, I only bought a 15 inch square plexiglass for measuring, and a triangular one (two triangle sizes).
It's no wonder that the staff said each year they get leather-attired bikers from the Sturgis Bike Rally, both ladies and men. When the men come in alone, they pull out lists or pictures of what their women have asked them to purchase. Love it. And the staff loves that the ladies all decked out in their leathers come in to purchase quilting supplies.
